Picking up your four-legged friend at the airport can be an exciting experience.

Being well prepared reduces the chance of long waiting times at the airport. Each country has its own custom formalities and duties when importing a pet, which should be inquired before departure.

Flying Dutch Pets has connections with pet relocating agents all over the world. If you are not in the position to pick up your pet, we will gladly take care of this. We can arrange your pet’s import as cargo, collect them from the airport and deliver them to their new home.

Whichever service you require, we will take care of it!

We will advise you in case an Import Permit is required and let you know where to get it. And don’t worry if a quarantine is needed – we will assist you every step of the way.

Tip: Do not take your pet out of its travel container until you reach a secured area. In keeping with airport regulations, you should not let your pet out of its container before leaving the terminal building.

Tip: Bring a leash, so you can take your dog for a walk and have it stretch its legs before check-in and after arrival. Do not leave the leash on the dog, but attach it on the inside or outside of the kennel.

Tip: Bring something to unfasten the cable binders, as for extra safety the door of the travel container will be additionally secured with cable binders.

Tip: A bowl of fresh water, some food or treats, clean bedding, wet tissues and a plastic bag might come in handy when picking up your pet.
